CHEMICAL PEEL - chemical peels tackle a number of skin concerns. Chemical peels can be done at different depths depending on your desired results; light, medium and deep. Different types and depths of peel contain different chemical solutions.

Let me break this down into what you need to know when considering a type of chemical peel. It’s important first of all to choose which type you want to go for. Depending on the issues you’re addressing with the treatment, you’ll choose a chemical peel in one of three depths:

Light Chemical Peel - £200

A light or superficial chemical peel removes the outer layer of your skin. This layer is called the epidermis. This peel is perfect for treating fine wrinkles, acne, uneven skin tone and dryness. You can have a light chemical peel as often as every two to five weeks depending on what you want to achieve.

Medium Chemical Peel - £250

This type of chemical peel removes dead skin cells from the epidermis and from sections of the upper part of the middle layer of your skin. This layer is called the dermis. A medium depth chemical peel can also treat wrinkles, acne scars and uneven skin tone. You might repeat one of these after three months to maintain your results

Deep Chemical Peel - £300

A deep chemical peel removes dead skin cells from the epidermis, and from the mid to lower layer of your dermis. If you have deep wrinkles, scars or precancerous growths, a deep chemical peel could be the right course of action for you. You can only have a deep chemical peel once. This is because they affect the deeper layers of the skin, and the results are more permanent.

It’s a procedure that uses fine needles to puncture the skin and create a controlled skin injury in order to rejuvenate , sending collagen, elastin and hyaluronic acid to the skin, it’s more than a passing fad in wrinkle management! Just one treatment or Regular Microneedling treatments can transform your skin and slow the ageing process.

LED LIGHT THERAPY - LED stands for light-emitting diode. These lights have been in use since 1960 but people have only recently begun to use them as a skin treatment.

NASA originally LED lights for plant growth experiments in space.

However, since then, LEDs have shown promising results in wound healing and human tissue growth.

Different wavelengths of light in LED lights, including blue and red, penetrate the skin at different depths. This penetration may trigger biological processes that help the skin rejuvenate and heal.

Blue light

Experts believe that blue LED light reduces activity in the sebaceous glands, which are small oil-producing glands in the skin. This reduction in activity causes the glands to produce less oil, possibly improving acne symptoms.

Blue light also kills a type of bacteria that contributes to acne by causing inflammation, research indicates that blue light can improve the healing of third degree burns.

Red light

Red LED light may improve scarring and signs of aging, such as wrinkles, by acting on fibroblasts, which are skin cells that are responsible for collagen production.

Collagen is a protein in the skin and other connective tissues. It plays a role in skin healing. The body produces less collagen as a person ages, which causes the skin to show signs of aging.

Red light also reduces inflammation.

DERMAPLANNING-Dermaplaning is a skin treatment that uses a specialized blade — similar to a surgical scalpel called a dermatome — to remove dead skin and hairs. People may also refer to it as microplanning or blading.

The procedure aims to give facial skin a smooth, youthful, and radiant appearance. As well as smoothing skin and removing “peach fuzz,” proponents claim that Dermaplaning can help with acne scars, dry skin, sun-damaged skin, and small wrinkles.

How it works

The basic concept of Dermaplaning is the same as shaving, but in place of a razor, it uses a scalpel-type blade to remove skin cells, hair, and other debris that may be present on the surface of the skin.

The continuous exposure of the top layer of skin to UV rays, environmental toxins, and irritants means that it may begin to appear dull. Dermaplaning removes the top layer of skin to reveal newer skin cells that may make a person’s skin appear smoother and glowing.

CARBOXY THERAPY

Carboxy therapy helps plump the skin, improves elasticity and wrinkles, and assists in getting rid of toxins. It will also help lighten and brighten the skin. Carboxy gel is applied onto the skin and followed with an activating fabric masque that contains lemon acid. It will start bubbling and the client will feel heat, tingling, and a prickly sensation. This is the skin producing oxygen and is a natural reaction. In a couple of minutes, the reaction will slow down. Then the gel is left on for 20 minutes so the skin can absorb the rest of the product. It will feel comfortable and pleasant afterward.
